Who is Kamal Dollah?
Mohamed Kamal Bin Dollah (born 1967) is a Singaporean artist and art educator. A multi-disciplined painter with speciality in various medium ranging from traditonal craft of batik to contemporary street art and caricatures. Prior to focusing his career in the fine arts in 2006, he was an established graphic designer and co-owner of the graphic design firm Bob Associates Design Consultants.
Kamal lectures (part-time since 1994) at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Nafa) in visual communications and is an approved Art Education Programme (AEP) provider by the National Arts Council of Singapore with proprietory programmes in:
- Batik painting
- Graffiti mural art
- Cartoon/ Caricature drawing
- Watercolour/ Ink and wash techniques
Kamal attained a Master of Arts degree in Contemporary Practice from the University of Huddersfield at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Nafa) in 2007.
He is a member of the World Batik Council; A professional member of the NCN - an International organization for caricaturists; and former president (2003-2006) of The Association of Artists of Various Resources.

Thank you for your interest. There is no age limit to learn caricature. However, I will only start a class for group of more than 10 participants (25 students for school). There are presently no ongoing program. I will contact you when there is a public group.

Very good work in promoting batik to the younger generation of Singaporeans! We have interests in batik and intend to promote the art, philosophy and anything relating to batik…hope we can work together in the future. Maybe a feature on your workshops?

Hey man…. I wanna learn graff but imm still stuck at taggin…. I wanna know how do u get very clean lines on the nippon stock caps????????????????????????they’re usually misty…….. is it can control?????? and iare there any other caps out there tat fit on nippon cans tat can give clean lines like skinny caps????? If there are wer du u buy them????????

Getting clean lines is mostly about spray control. We do have imported female caps for big projects. Too bad I could not sell ‘em because I’m low on stock myself.
